America’s Milestone
Ridgefield Commemorates America at 250 (RCA250) is proud to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary with a season of community celebrations, exhibitions, and cultural programming presented in partnership with Ridgefield’s arts and cultural organizations, local businesses, and community groups. As Connecticut’s first designated Cultural District, Ridgefield offers a unique setting for this once-in-a-generation milestone.
Summer festivities launch Memorial Day weekend with the Memorial Day Parade and culminate with Ridgefield’s signature America 250 events: the Star Spangled Soirée on July 3 and Party in the Park! on July 4 in Ballard Park.

Discover America 250 for Kids
This April and May, the Ridgefield Library brings America 250 to life for young learners through a dynamic series of hands-on programs, from STEM challenges to history adventures and creative storytelling. Designed for elementary-aged students, these engaging experiences invite children to explore the ideas, people, and moments that shaped our nation.

The Remembrance Parade
Join the Cannon Ridge Chapter, NSDAR, for the Remembrance Parade on Saturday, April 25 at 12 p.m. from the War Memorial on Main Street to Ballard Park.
The parade will honor the Patriots and veterans of the American Revolution, including those who fought at the Battle of Ridgefield. Free and open to all, the parade invites our community to reflect on our shared history.

The Remembrance Ball
The Ridgefield Cannon Ridge Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, is honored to invite you to the Remembrance Ball, a black-tie event at the historic Lounsbury House on Saturday, April 25, at 6 p.m.

Ridgefield Memorial Day Parade
Join us for one of our favorite unofficial launches to summer, the Memorial Day Parade, proudly organized by American Legion Post 78. The parade also marks the spirited start of our summer countdown to July 4, including the kickoff of our cocktail competition. We hope to see you there as we begin celebrating the summer season together.

Star Spangled Soirée
Kick off he nation’s 250th Independence celebration at the Star Spangled Soirée, a lively summer evening at the Lounsbury House featuring lite bites, beer and wine, and Ridgefield’s winning RCA250 signature cocktail as the featured drink of the night.
Enjoy a DJ, and a vibrant atmosphere as we gather to celebrate summer, community, and the spirit of independence.

Party in the Park!
Join us on July 4 in Ballard Park for an unforgettable celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary.
From Contra Dancing, toe-tapping live music by Bourbon and Britches, engaging demonstrations, here is something for all ages.
Ballard Park is the place to be this Independence Day as we mark this historic milestone together. Don’t miss it.
